ABOUT ME

I am an artist most excited by the opportunity we have to hold a mirror to audiences and teach them something about themselves. I want to use my skills to create art that will help my community heal, grow, and be inspired to take action.

Artistic Philosophy

Contemporary audiences have forgotten how art has been used throughout history to respond to current events. There is, currently, an aversion to art that confronts audiences in the USA. I believe I am responsible for using what I create to challenge my audience’s view of the world.

“We can tell that we are encountering a real work of art by the degree to which it resists subjectivity"

"The work of art always requires us to adapt to it—and in this manner can be distinguished from escapism or shallow entertainment, which instead aims to adapt to the audience".
